Traditional didactic classroom instruction is not always sufficient, because it does not provide an opportunity for elders to apply what they have learned. To compensate for this lack of experiential learning, role-play was incorporated into elder training in a particular congregation, resulting in the conclusion that role-play is a useful training tool in certain situations.
