The key to their empowerment is the daily resolution of inner conflicts. To better understand attitudes about cohabitation, selected young adults were invited into a dialogue. Storytelling, brief counseling, biblical topics, and social interaction were coordinated to encourage group participation and self-learning. At the conclusion of the study, cohabitating couples revealed their decisions to marry or not to marry. Five youth ministers test this thesis by committing to eight weeks of urban youth ministry with three hours of peer-group reflection each week. These sessions involve didactic seminars, case conferences, theological reflection, and spiritual formation. A review of literature and the development of a theological rationale was undertaken to determine the effects of divorce on children and how some support groups have been utilized.  The model developed by Rainbows for All God's Children, Inc. was implemented and evaluated. The first goal was to provide immediate help for divorcees.  The second goal was to develop support groups for divorced persons.  The third goal was to begin an ongoing ministry to divorcees in the association by electing a single adult coordinator.  The program consisted of three parts.  The project director of missions conducted a four-day divorce recovery seminar.  Biblical materials concerning divorce were presented by the director.  A psychologist and a medical doctor spoke on the psychological and medical problems resulting from divorce. Three enabler training sessions followed the seminar.  The enablers led discussions in three discussion/support group sessions.  Ongoing discussion/support group sessions were scheduled.
