Because Baptist missionary work started in Korea much later than other denominations, many of the Korean Southern Baptist church leaders come from non-Baptist evangelical backgrounds.  As a result, many of them are continuing practices of their old denomination under the name of Baptists.  These leaders need orientation and training to the Southern Baptist denomination.  The pastors and the church leaders who engaged in the project were trained and motivated to use the manual to increase their understanding of Southern Baptist distinctives, its programs in a local church, the denominational agencies and their missions. This project describes the process used to compile a handbook for local church pastors with specific focus on white 'Old Yankee' Protestant women over the age of seventy-five. The biblical concept, based on the word, 'oikonomia,' traces God's plan of stewardship from creation to living-out Jesus' teachings. Historical and informational STVIM material was combined with the personal experience of the author in leading STVIM teams. The material was evaluated by 55 persons related to STVIM. Chapter I provides the organizational structure of the family plan and the mechanics of its function.  Chapter II - XI comprise the training and instructional portion of the manual.  Chapter XII is the final chapter containing the project narrative in the form of a flow chart.  This provides a step-by-step dated account of progress towards implementation. First, the New Testament was read chronologically beginning with the Book of Acts.  As a problem was discovered it was listed along with its scripture reference. The list was then arranged in tabular form to give an overview of major problems.  Second, the problems dealt with by each church were divided into chapters by the different churches.  Third, each problem was dealt with in order to learn the symptom(s), source(s), and solution as noted in scripture.  Homiletical aids were suggested for each problem in order to facilitate their use in preaching, teaching or counseling.  A valuable discovery was to note the symptoms and biblical solutions which can still be useful to local churches today.  It was also found that the local churches of today face most if not all of the same types of problems.  The solution to problems was found to involve basically two things: the word of God and the spirit of
