Methods used were workshops, a live radio broadcast and surveys.  The curriculum bridged generational communication gaps and stressed the importance of spirituals, hymns, gospel, and contemporary Christian music using techniques developed to educate and stimulate creativity. The images of God are discussed in light of the early history of this movement.  Traditional criticism of this movement finds it superficial and a means of control used by threatened overlords.
