The theology is based on an understanding of the imago Dei, the effects of the fall, and the potential of redemption. The theory is eclectic with three components: 1) relationship draws on Carl Rogers; 2) responsibility draws on Glasser's reality therapy; 3) religious resources draws on several pastoral counselors.  A training manual was developed and tested. The purpose of the practicum was to provide a setting in which counseling skills would be improved and in which awareness of women's experiences would be increased.  The project provided an opportunity for reporting the practicum findings and incorporating this information into theological reflection.
