For adolescents from a variety of family backgrounds results indicated that both parent images contributed to the God concept.  This God concept is consistent with the developmental stage functioning of the patient.  The patient experiences communication with the God concept as simultaneous with the combination of communication with both parental images.  Tillich's perspectives on judgment, acceptance and transformation as well as his concept of the God beyond God are brought to bear on the studies. It provides 'course correction' for male-centered bias in Christian ministry. The study uses depth psychology as found in the theories of Sigmund Freud and Carl Jung.  It takes a symbolic approach to Christian theology.  Its three parts are: the feminine as mode of being; the feminine as archetype; and the feminine in religious experience.
