Unfortunately, very little has been done to develop discipleship materials uniquely for Native people. This project presents a new spiritual formation process designed specifically for the students at the Indian Bible College in Flagstaff, Arizona. The author researched spiritual formation theory and Native American culture and Christianity. It provides a reflective look at both the government's and religion's role in this process. It helps bring clarity to Native religion/spirituality and Christian understanding of manifest destiny. It gives an overview of the social dynamics at work to dislodge Natives from their home, their land while describing this history in the Trail of Tears.
