While the original purpose of WNA was to serve a support function, it appeared that they soon operated with management authority. Professor John Kotter, author of Leading change and The heart of change, is often cited as an authority on corporate culture change. This paper researches the inception and implementation of WNA and analyses the implementation process in light of the eight steps of corporate change recommended by Kotter. A case study of LifeChurch.tv was the basis of the author's qualitative research design. The author discovered the importance of preaching and proximity to the broadcast campus, meaning these two factors are critical to the campus pastor's effectiveness as a spiritual leader on his local campus.
