The author used action research to study: (1) the initial intercultural competence among campus staff (2) training elements appropriate for the group and purpose (3) changes after training and (4) evidence of the training model's effectiveness. Data collection included pre-training Intercultural Development Inventory [registered symbol] assessments and post-training survey. The literature review, interviews, and focus group revealed shifts: in understanding the Trinity more relationally than judicially; in choosing to follow Jesus because of kingdom vision more than need of salvation; in shaping more through group manuscript Bible study than through a daily quiet time alone with God. It will begin by learning from biblical teaching and leadership archetypes as well as best practices among renewal movements.  A program for development of staff and supervisors is implemented: (1) national student leadership conference, (2) internship, (3) staff training in fundamentals, (4) regional staff training, (5) NVEST, (6) emerging leaders, and (7) MD training.
