The program introduces participants to Jewish and Christian theological perspectives of the human condition by exploring, contrasting, and comparing Jewish and Christian writings from five historical periods: biblical, late antiquity, medieval, renaissance and modern. The teachings of Jesus continued the key concepts of Judaism for Christianity.  A course of study emphasizing key concepts in both systems develops awareness of commonalities.  This study affirms that Christians can gain understanding of their Jewish heritage through the teachings of Jesus. The commonalities provide a base sufficient for collaborative social action between Jews and Christians on behalf of all humanity.
