The project director selected the equipping model as her template. The components of this project include the following: (1) the research of faith transmission between grandparents and grandchildren with prayer as a tool for faith transmission; (2) the designing of a curriculum to equip selected grandparents in prayer skills to promote faith transmission to their grandchildren; and (3) the conducting of a series of lessons to equip selected grandparents in prayer skills to promote faith transmission. This assumption can cause young adults unnecessarily pain because they do not benefit from older Christian adult spiritual, relational and employment experience securing Christian self-actualization. This study employs descriptive research methodology and concentrates in three research questions: What are the characteristics of the effective leaders? What are the practices of the effective leaders? What makes effective leadership teams? The findings rest on interviews with leaders of five effective Chinese churches of NYC (BCCC, FaBC, FiBC, NYCAC, and OCM), InterVarsity, and Seekers. The project director researched models in order to understand intergenerational principles of worship.  A bibliography approved by an expert in the field and interviews with selected churches engaged in intergenerational worship served as the standard for this research. It explored the biblical and theological foundation for inter-generational ministry, and reflected upon current literature. The rationale was shared with the elders and the congregation, and they engaged in several events planned to include multiple-age groups. Their responses to these events and attitudes toward inter-generational ministry were collected through a congregational survey and from feedback from the leaders. These challenges can include financial and health concerns, future living arrangements, final wishes, and discovering the ultimate value of one's life. Tragically however, widows, widowers, the never-married and divorcees are often left to contend with such issues alone. Meanwhile, they may have adult children who will also be deeply affected by these issues, and are able to help. But that help rarely comes. Instead silence, ignorance, and misunderstanding prevail between the generations regarding the realities that will impact them both.  This project is an examination of these issues and the reasons that prevent aging parents and their adult children from discussing them constructively.
