The theme of the retreat was based on the biblical leadership of Moses and Joshua. The author conducted surveys before and after the retreat among thirty Korean Americans. The second phase of this project resulted in using information derived from phase one research to develop equipping curriculum. The curriculum educated the leadership team in the field of biblical worship as well as the characteristics and formative events that define the four primary adult generations present at Summit baptist Church. The third phase of this project resulted in expanding the music leadership team to include members of every adult generation at Summit, presenting the curriculum to the team, and equipping the team to function as a worship planning team. This thesis will introduce a new paradigm for understanding the issue by incorporating the dimensions of demographics and church organizational development. These factors determine in part the potential range of English Ministry development in the Chinese immigrant church. Solutions to mitigate tensions are based on the concept of formulating appropriate expectations that are specific to the church's developmental stage.
