I demonstrate that the model is closely associated with personal assumptions , is based on particular theoretical constructs , and can be utilized in interpersonal interaction.The first chapter lists particular personal assumptions and states the importance of articulating assumptions. Systems theory, which embraces a theory of process, is outlined in Chapter II. Tri-Modal Structuring, with its three modes of interaction, is described in Chapter III. Finally , Chapter IV demonstrates the utilization of the model by presenting a case study of marital therapy.This paper is an attempt to express in written form what I have attempted to integrate over the past   three years.  As such, it is an attempt to state in my own words what I have seen, heard, read,  experienced and thought regarding therapy. These illusions have helped create communication blocks in marriage relationships. The project was designed to cause a positive change in the interpersonal perception of individual members within their marriages.  Action research is the design methodology.  The Taylor-Johnson Temperament Analysis Test is the primary testing instrument.  Significant change occurred in three areas: attitudes, individual profiles, and selected temperament traits. The manual which was developed for this purpose was tested at the Salvation Army School for Officers' Training in Chicago, Illinois.  The manual was divided into three sections: 1. development of interpersonal relations; 2. a theological perspective of personality development; and 3. sources for dealing with behavioral difficulties.  The participants consisted of a group of thirteen students who had completed the prerequisite course in Introduction to Psychology and were in their final year of training.  They completed two examinations and several evaluation forms that provided data for the write-up of the project.  Other participants included five outside readers who made observations of the manual from the perspective of their particular expertise. The interview technique was adapted from a study done by William Perry and based on the faith development models of John Westerhoff and James Fowler. Those who were active in the church's youth program displayed a number of characteristics including: supportive parents, some type of emotional 'faith experience,' and a significant relationship with another adult for whom faith was important and meaningful.  Those interactions are more significant in some ways than the curriculum or program used. This study concerns itself with the historical background of the country, the mission agencies, and the evolutionary process that brought us to where we are today.  This relationship, i.e., three mission agencies associated with one national church, suggests itself as a model for others to consider.  Although it is not without its flaws, it continues to serve as an acceptable vehicle for evangelization. Other models of a partnership nature are considered for comparison.  Certain cultural factors in the development of leadership styles are looked at.
