The chaplain asked fifty-two students to form nine counseling groups focusing on their interpersonal conflicts.  In six sessions they were trained to use an ethical model to resolve their conflicts. It moves toward an integration of object-relations theory, the metaphysical philosophy of A N Whitehead, and theologian Paul Tillich's concept of God's grace as acceptance in spite of human unacceptability. These are woven together to propose that the answer to human becoming is a theological one. Research indicated significant experience of positive collegial relationships with male and female peers and supervisors.  Women most active in the Association indicated the greatest positive experience and the highest level of concern about collegial issues. Research gathered demographic data and identified historical dynamics about the entrance and increasing participation of women in AAPC.
