The psychological theories that are integrated for this thesis include Family Systems Theory, Structural Family Therapy, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, and Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy. The thesis was applied to a young married couple with the use of the Taylor Johnson Temperament Analysis, The Personality Self-Portrait by Multi-Health Systems, and the Prepare/Enrich Inventory assessment tools. It hypothesizes that orchestrating covenant relationships produce a benefit to a small group's relational health by restraining both harmful cultural values and weak human nature that dissuades people from nurturing resilient bonds. To promote the acceptance of covenant-making, a three-step process includes assessment, instruction and training, and implementation for a facilitator to follow based upon exegetical and theological proofs supported by supplemental sociology research. The assessment step was applied to a local church's small group program and evaluated. Research was conducted regarding the psychological development of teenagers and how their development relates to interpersonal relationship skills. Current research in books, journals, and online resources were used for further study of interpersonal relationship skills. Several high school counselors were interviewed to find out how these skills impact students in schools. Grounded in the biblical assertions that Christians are to be motivated by the commands to 'love your neighbor as yourself' (Lev 19:18; Luke 10:27) and to 'go and make disciples' (Matt 28:19), the model is built upon three essential concepts: (1) a biblical motive and method for helping the homeless; (2) a comprehensive team mentoring approach; and (3) the necessity of ongoing training and support provided by a local Christian homeless service organization. Each were taught and demonstrated to project participants during a ten-week classroom and field training
