The model developed for the Mount Horeb Baptist Church included two, four-hour training sessions on relational evangelism. Along with the classes, a series of sermons related to witnessing were preached to assist in the motivational process. A training manual was created. The particular subjects under investigation are 24 affluent American University students who chose to participate in an 'alternative spring break' to Honduras, Nicaragua, Cuba, Chiapas Mexico, Zambia or Vietnam. Relying on interviews and observation, the author concluded that these short impressions provided the students with an occasion for reexamination of their own lives and an opportunity for experiencing transcendence. Research focused on male spirituality and small group dynamics.  Scriptures that emphasized spiritual relationships, spiritual growth, and spiritual commitment directed the group and helped strengthen relationships with God and each other.  Discussion questions and a closing exercise for each meeting are included in the paper. Using theology and the cognitive mode from psychology, the author looked at intermediate and core beliefs and automatic thoughts of clergy toward each other. The elements were analyzed through a focus group, a general survey, and directed reading. This study concerns itself with relationships and how intimacy, conflict, and communication affect codependent relationships. The study examines the Bible, analytical psychology, and traces relationships from biblical times to the present. The project presents a psycho-educational view, which combines and integrates psychology and religion. Combining the cognitive, affective, and spiritual, this project presents a curriculum that specifically speaks to individuals with poor skills in maintaining relationships due to codependent behavior patterns. The approach used is outlined and presented in a ten week intensive course. Utilizing the tenets of family therapy, education, and the Bible, the course assists participants in addressing and working through prior experiences that hinder the forming and maintaining of healthy relationships.
