The method of the study was to investigate several schools of therapy, theological constructs, and biblical accounts of Jesus' healing ministry to determine if these sources made use of a remedial function. The project addresses two issues.  The first is the lack of theological hermeneutics in most mainline Protestants.  The second is a personal need within the author to rework his own understanding of christology.  The education model utilized David Ausabel's 'advance organizer' model because of its techniques of imparting large blocks of new information, and Thomas Groome's 'shared praxis' approach because of its techniques of hooking the inner story of the participant into the story being taught.  As evaluation, class members were tested for content, acceptance of controversial issues, and the adequacy of the education model.
