It surveys the origins and meanings of Christian baptism and development of baptismal catechesis in church history and in the Korean Methodist Church. This guide book is written for the purpose of solving that problem. Theological and educational needs of new members were ascertained by research on the relevant literature and a questionnaire.  The final guide book was prepared through developing an experimental curriculum, testing it in the new member class and evaluating it. The book's format consists of 52 lessons in a one year cycle.
