Using Wesleyan baptismal and sanctification theologies and covenant renewal service, the author created a baptismal reaffirmation service to be applied to the worship and baptism at Hyosung Central Methodist Church. The author used sermons to teach the meaning of baptism, decorations in the baptismal hall to help believers recall their baptism, and the baptismal reaffirmation service to physically use water to emphasize the importance of sanctification. This project is composed of three parts: theoretical research, the application of ODT to the KMC, and a case study of a local church. The usual Korean church may have 10 to 12 worship services in one week.  This project proposes to explain what spiritual worship is and how it can be improved in order to renew Korean Methodist congregations.  The project also explores how Christians can establish a worshipful daily life. For several years evangelism as verbal proclamation has dominated the mission effort of the KMC.  Such a focus results in numeric growth, but issues of spiritual maturity and responsible social witness have been neglected.  To be faithful to the biblical mandate, the KMC needs to find balance between verbal proclamation and social witness as taught in the Bible. The course content was developed out of a study of biblical and theological foundations of mission, a review of the history of Korean overseas mission, and a survey of present understandings of mission in these same five churches. The results of this project revealed that the teachers have a strong sense of vocation and commitment as teachers.  However, they lack self-confidence as teachers due to their inadequate training and preparation. However, many local churches of both denominations are growing, if there is the dedication of an able, visionary, and spiritual pastor, committed laity, and ministries which meet the physical and spiritual needs of people in the community.
