It stems from generations of Confucianism infusing culture and idolizing this image as mature and dignified for aging adults.  With the expansion of human life span where four generation families are no longer a novelty, there could soon be families with more people expecting to be served than available hands to serve. A carefully selected group of 15 members was trained in order that they understand the biblical mandate of evangelism and become active evangelists.  The doctrinal studies covered 4 weeks followed by 6-weeks of actual evangelism training. Over the course of the project, the project director stressed the importance of the Great Commission, led powerful evangelism training whilestressing the missional aspects of the church.  The evangelism teams were formed consisting of 2-3 individuals. To achieve this goal, the project director worked in the following way. First, the meaning and contents of diaspora, church, and leadership were explored based on the Bible. Second, the selected literature on American community, Korean diaspora community, Korean diaspora church, church leadership, and curriculum were carefully studied. Third, the project director did unintentional participant observation and (unintentionally and intentionally) interviewed the New Life Baptist Church and its community. Fourth, he listened to the faculty and field mentors, church education specialists and the persons concerned, and curriculum specialists and lifelong education experts. Fifth, a list of annotated bibliographies was created, and a five-session curriculum was developed. Sixth, the project director reflected on the promotion of his own knowledge and curriculum development skills on the subject of the project. Seventh, the project director revised some of the annotated bibliographies generated by himself based on the quantitative and qualitative evaluation opinions of the church education experts on the curriculum. As a result of this project research, a single, annotated bibliography was created and a curriculum was developed for the re-education of church education leaders in the New Life Baptist Church in Suwanee, Georgia. Subsequently, it demonstrates that the Pyongyang revival possessed limitations due to its historical context, and that is how the prayer revival of 1857-1859 can be used to revitalize the prayer practices of the Korean-American church. The two revivals shared many things in common: both of them occurred in the midst of crisis and helped people to overcome the difficulties, prayer played a major role, and they were influenced by other global revivals and also influenced them. However, significant differences occurred between them. The prayer revival was solemn, led by lay leadership, and had strong emphasis on the conversion of the lost. With this conviction he examined the conditions of the Korean Church and the local church, the Bok-Ji church, he was serving as a senior pastor, and found that the church had too much focused on the side of individual salvation with paying little attention to joining the universal salvific work of God. At the end of his thesis, based on his Wesleyan belief and his pastoral experience, the researcher proposed on how a local church can operate its social welfare ministry successfully.
