While the original purpose of WNA was to serve a support function, it appeared that they soon operated with management authority. Professor John Kotter, author of Leading change and The heart of change, is often cited as an authority on corporate culture change. This paper researches the inception and implementation of WNA and analyses the implementation process in light of the eight steps of corporate change recommended by Kotter. The purpose of the change is to create an environment that can retain our next generation and attract other ethnic groups in our neighbourhood to attend our meetings. The long-term goal, of which this project is a part, is to become a missional church.
