The writer met weekly for six weeks with each of four volunteer directors.  Each supervisory session was structured to cover specific learning assignments for both the volunteer and the supervisor.  Various instruments facilitated each learning activity, including planned reading, skills development, and a covenant for ministry and supervision.  The writer developed supervision skills in listening, communication, and planning.  The volunteers received training through collaborative inquiry and ministry examination.
