A curriculum was designed that consisted of six sessions on the biblical and theological bases for shared ministry.  A study of similar churches was conducted in four sessions.  Recommendations to increase lay involvement were formulated in the final two sessions.  The project was evaluated by the experimental and descriptive survey methods. Women may not be adequately prepared to assume such leadership positions.  Power and authority are important issues identified by women in pastoral ministry.  Feminist understandings of power and authority are examined from theological, historical and psychological perspectives. Principles of a feminist theory and theology of leadership are applied to case studies of women currently ministering in solo pastor, senior pastor and co-pastor positions. Through a study of Zwingli and Calvin, one can see the interplay between a sovereign God and human responsibility in a individual's spiritual growth. Turretin, Edwards, and Pannenberg demonstrate the inherent fluidity within form intrinsic to Reformed spirituality.
