Two models of leadership were selected for this project. The situational leadership model of Paul Hersey and Kenneth H Blanchard introduced the concept of adapting leadership styles to the needs of the individual student and the demands of the situation.  Ernest O White's model introduced the skills of planning and organization as theyrelate to leadership.  Nine supervisors were trained to implement the concepts and skills of this project.  The effects of this training was measured with questionnaires given to the students and the supervisors of the project group.  The students also answered the Occupational Roles Questionnaire (Osipow and Spokane). A review of this product will provide the reader with an overview of the concepts, skills and tools used in leadership and management. The results of this project revealed that the teachers have a strong sense of vocation and commitment as teachers.  However, they lack self-confidence as teachers due to their inadequate training and preparation. Sixteen lay leaders participated in a four-week training course in spiritual development, followed by four weeks of trial ministry. This systematic emphasis on spiritual growth was rooted in traditions of spiritual direction, biblical mandates to seek God and exercise the spirit, and the affirmation that Christians live as members of gathering, witnessing communities. As an agent of the church, the Catholic school shares the Church's mission of passing on the faith to youth.  Maturing in faith is both a personal and a communal journey.  Personal maturity in faith is nurtured and reached through community. In the educational environment this occurs when there is collaboration between leadership and board members.  This study sought to assist local administrators to become transformational leaders who will initiate a program and process to strengthen boards.  The result illustrated that the attitudes and skills of transformational leadership are needed to create any effective and participative group. A team leader can enhance the value of the experience through careful preparation and vigorous leadership.  A biblical model of missional leadership was developed and applied to the organization and leadership of a work team to the Solomon Islands in 1993.  Recruitment difficulties and on-site conditions resulted in the omission of key elements in the leadership style of the team leader. As a result, a single program was begun in 1988 based on the cultural context of Zaire that integrated all the existing forms of leadership training to recruit and train the leaders needed to serve the entire denomination and the local churches. Chapter 2, an in-depth examination of Christ's ministry selectivity, addresses question 1.  Chapter 3 examines secular and christocentric learning theories, responding to question 2.  Subsequently, chapter 4 presents design components of a leadership-based church missions curriculum.  Chapter 5 evaluates the field-tested program's successful implementation.
