In 'the awareness stage', the project assesses the significance of both hopeful and fearful literature on marriage and family.  In 'the initial stage', he recounts an inductive Bible study and self-examination of his own marriage eventuating in the development of two programs: (1) strengthened pre-marital counseling and (2) a two-staged post-marital program.  'The developmental stage' deals with a third ongoing ministry to help new parents develop parenting skills. Methodology included the use of self report statements and tests (Marital Communication and Support Systems Inventories).
