The author randomly surveyed all twelve districts of the North Carolina Annual Conference and found that mentoring was desperately needed. Research validated and affirmed that mentoring was not available in any formal structure for ministers beyond ordination. A real case study with a mentoring team, practical helps, resources and personal stories were included. Through their participation in such a program it was hypothesized that the participants would increase their appreciation of the benefits of mentoring.
