The church offers services to families across these areas. This case study compares the number of services used by mentored families versus non mentored families, and any reported changes in mentored families behavior and status. The project data suggests the connection of a mentor with the family increases involvement in both secular and Christian activities. The mentored families participating in Christian activities showed positive behavioral change. Pastors were to select a group of men from their churches to participate in leadership development through a mentoring process that would cultivate a disciple relationship and develop their skills in a ministry setting under the tutelage of a mentor coach. The project was a success. The author created a formal clergy mentoring program consisting of eleven dyads. He recruited the participants, commenced program training, and conducted feedback using written forms and interviews. The clergy mentoring program sufficiently demonstrated the value of clergy mentoring. Eight of the eleven mentoring relationships successfully brought about fruit within the mentees and their ministry settings. The project consisted of three phases. The first phase involved researching the fields of discipleship, one-on-one discipleship, and mentoring. The project director used this research to develop the curriculum for a workshop to equip the selected group. The second phase included the development of workshop lesson plans, a participant workbook, and a discipleship handbook. The third phase involved equipping the selected group using the workshop materials. The workshop consisted of six sessions, including an introductory and concluding sessions. The project director's intent of the project was to develop a systematic method to train selected members to help new adult members grow spiritually. The project director researched resources in the field of mentoring and youth culture and developed an annotated bibliography and a curriculum with the help of experts in the field of education. The director created the training curriculum used in a seven-session workshop with a selected group of adults who volunteered to serve as mentors at the request of student mentees. The curriculum for the workshop was developed with the guidance of professionals in the area of curriculum and instructional design.
