The purpose is to determine if the presence of a mentoring program is beneficial and to ascertain the spiritual fitness of associate ministers.  Mentoring is one of the treatments for this problem. The hypothesis is that associate ministers are often untrained, and unprepared to ascertain their call to ministry, if they are prepared, trained and mentored they will be more effective in their call to ministry.  A quantitative research method will be used involving surveys. Six men who were involved in Christian men's mentorship ministry programmes in Jamaica were interviewed to ascertain what social benefits, spiritual benefits, and personal development benefits can be derived from a men's mentorship programme in the Jamaican context. The study is a basic qualitative research. An interview schedule was developed and administered over a two month period, the data was analyzed, and benefits/themes identified. The church offers services to families across these areas. This case study compares the number of services used by mentored families versus non mentored families, and any reported changes in mentored families behavior and status. The project data suggests the connection of a mentor with the family increases involvement in both secular and Christian activities. The mentored families participating in Christian activities showed positive behavioral change. The mentoring sessions was designed to bring hope, healing and wholeness to women of diverse ages, and backgrounds. The hypothesis was that mentoring would shift participants from brokenness to wholeness. The project was implemented through collaboration with women abiding at women's shelter, and the Executives Director. Participants engaged in six-weeks of mentoring. The research methods used to test the hypothesis and evaluate results were measured utilizing qualitative analysis. These relationships incorporate mentors who are both military professionals and mentors who are religious leaders of integrity. Using a mixed methods approach to descriptive research, the author researched biblical and historical methods of discipleship, ministerial formation, modern research in mentoring, and surveyed chaplains about personal experiences with mentors during their early military careers. The project director began by researching the fields of Christian manhood and mentoring. The director developed and implemented a six-session course to equip the participants to mentor their sons in the areas of faith, family, finances, fights, friends, and future. The director wrote daily devotions for the participants and paired them in strength teams to offer encouragement. The course ended with an overnight retreat.
