The Bible is filled with charges and directions for a life full of meaning.  Matthew 28:19-20 gives us a precise command, 'Therefore go and make disciples of all nations.'  The charge of making disciples is clear and direct.  The question comes about when determining how best to make disciples.  Jesus used modeling and mentoring.  The established example of Jesus mentoring is the one that will be discussed and followed.     There is a great need in youth ministries for students to see how other students who are committed followers of Jesus Christ live their lives.  The project leader believes a teenage student better relates to another teenage student than to an adult.  A student mentor can grow personally by being trained to mentor, as well as become prepared to minister to their mentoree. This project will develop a curriculum for teenage leaders to lead younger students to understand how they can have a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ.  The project leader will work with the mentor development team to develop six sessions that will be used by student mentors to lead a younger teenage mentoree.  The mentor will spend one on one time with a student who is two or more years younger than the mentor.  The mentoree will be trained to understand how to have a closer relationship with Jesus, as well as be encouraged to become a mentor to a younger student. The church has grown rapidly in the past four years. Many of the people added to the church have come from completely secular backgrounds or Christian traditions other than evangelical. These new members must be trained in order to retain them. The plan of ministry will be for the writer to recruit a team of eight to ten mentors. These mentors will be trained for a period of four weeks. In the implementation phase, the mentors will meet weekly with new members for discussion of the previous Sunday morning message as well as some additional Bible study. An evaluation will be performed at every stage of the process. The mentors will evaluate each training session. Both mentors and new members will evaluate each message and mentoring session. The goal is for professional clergy to identify, mentor and elevate women and men through a clergy apprenticeship and into transformational leadership. A panel of experienced clergy evaluated the model. The results indicated that the Mentoring Model was most successful as a catalyst for structuring the process. The results also indicate the presence of a prevailing impact on the Kingdom of God. Administered by a denomination, the process helps clarify the group's agenda and thrust, further tightening loyalty to the association of churches.  The foundational basis for the mentoring is drawn from Scripture as well as related literature.  An approach is drawn and a mentor agenda is suggested with themes drawn from a survey of ministers as to which topics need emphasizing and suitable for mentoring moments. The research consisted of interviews with sixteen church planters who had been mentored and had planted at least one reproducing church.  The findings revealed that subjects viewed their mentoring relationships as a key component in their preparation for church planting and an important factor in their decision to plant a reproducing church.
