The purpose of this eight-week curriculum is to teach the students to walk with God on a daily basis allowing the Holy Spirit to transform them into the likeness of Christ through a lifelong process. Chapter 1 introduces the problem and the ministry setting. The research question, purpose statement and thesis will also be discussed. Chapter 2 looks at the theological foundation for the discipleship of individuals with cognitive disabilities. It discusses the image of God in Old and New Testament references. It also reviews the four views of the image of God: substantive, functional, relational and Christological. This chapter will also review related literature and the ministry application of this project.Chapter 3 discusses the significance of the study as well as the limitations and delimitations. This chapter will also discuss key definitions and the population being researched by including an ethnographic study of the disability community and demographical information of participants within each group home. The final section will discuss the project plan and the curriculum. The section discussing the curriculum will cover goals and objectives, the lessons, the time frame and the pre-assessment and post-assessment surveys.Chapter 4 discusses the development and the implementation of the curriculum. This chapter will also discuss evaluation of the project by evaluating the data from the pre-assessment and post-assessment surveys.Chapter 5 includes a thorough evaluation of the research data and a theological reflection. This chapter also discusses the implications for future use and goal assessment."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["b2ad2862-737d-4dde-8145-b9b6962ac5f3"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["public","work_editor"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791132325627559936,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T08:01:36.236Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-12T19:11:43Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T07:09:31Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"26efb64a-d7c0-490e-b0c8-9d498aa6e6c4","accessControl_ssim":["84e2a9ab-edaf-4d1d-b03f-2ff4331807cc"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["Assessing Latinamente the Preparation of Latin@s for Lay Ecclesial Ministry"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-12T19:11:42Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-16T23:16:38Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["6abf5dfd-77d9-40d0-8ef5-5c20dfa02a68"],"hasLease_ssim":["4e792360-106b-49aa-9acd-0b3d2ae09ab6"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Doctor of Ministry"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["Catholic Theological Union"],"advisor_tesim":["Nanko-Fernández, Carmen"],"year_tesim":["2021"],"location_tesim":["United States"],"resource_type_tesim":["D.Min. This will be explored through three avenues. The first is a spiritual autobiography describing the author’s own spiritual formation in response to the question: How will I know God’s voice? The author’s discernment of vocational call to spiritual direction and supervision will be shared. The second is through the development of a Trinitarian Spiritual Formation Model as informed by Trinitarian Spiritual Formation anchored in trinitarian theology. In the face of hybrid forms of spiritual direction, this understanding of spiritual formation will be applied to the question: What makes spiritual direction, spiritual direction? The third is through a field research project that attends to the spiritual formation of Tyndale graduate spiritual directors. The project is guided by the question: Does attending to the spiritual formation of directors through a contemplative evocative approach better equip them to discern a calling to the supervision of directors? This research confirms that a contemplative evocative approach toward spiritual formation is helpful for discerning whether or not directors are called to become supervisors."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Tyndale University"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["602e7e7c-0b8b-4e09-af87-84c66ff49c48"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["work_editor","public"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791133616636428288,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T08:22:07.438Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-12T19:11:12Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T07:59:40Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"67ff4531-dbbd-40f7-9bd8-384bd0f201ea","accessControl_ssim":["83845e85-5584-4ba3-b971-fef3fbef4be8"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["A Strategy for Equipping Southern Baptist Pastors' Wives to Give Biblical Counsel: An Associational Model"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-12T19:11:11Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T01:10:32Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["68eb4942-17df-4f83-ad51-9b0f50250a62"],"hasLease_ssim":["4beb91ec-b600-488a-bb07-b866d2ed3919"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Doctor of Educational Ministry"],"discipline_tesim":["Biblical Counseling"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary"],"advisor_tesim":["Matt Queen Ph.D."],"year_tesim":["2021"],"location_tesim":["United States"],"resource_type_tesim":["D.Ed.Min. This growth can have a Kingdom impact, resulting in the multiplication of disciples and disciple-makers and development of spiritual maturity. The three goals of the project were to: (1) develop a strategy to equip Southern Baptist pastors’ wives to counsel biblically; (2) assess competence of wives as counselors before and after the training, as well as to assess the spiritual health of the pastors’ wives before and after completing the training; and (3) use the training in an associational training event or an international trip to train nationals and missionaries."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["b2ad2862-737d-4dde-8145-b9b6962ac5f3"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["work_editor","public"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791132206797684736,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T07:59:42.910Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-12T19:07:04Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T08:18:17Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"2bc46e21-4615-4e88-b0f9-e93777c96a46","accessControl_ssim":["83f28bb3-7cb6-40f3-b874-c706bfbde712"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["The Role of Transformational Leadership in Creating a Culture of Leadership Development at Grand Point Church"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-12T19:07:03Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-16T23:24:35Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["0e5f66aa-cb8b-462b-b8a0-a9dda9cca3b2"],"hasLease_ssim":["ba10827c-3a38-4cbf-9452-770ce7b1d932"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Doctor of Ministry"],"discipline_tesim":["Church and Parachurch Executive Leadership"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["Denver Seminary"],"advisor_tesim":["Larry Lindquist Ph.D."],"year_tesim":["2019"],"resource_type_tesim":["D.Min. Substantial effort has gone into classifying these dimensions of leadership thus, generating considerable research of leadership styles and behaviors. Many researchers and practitioners have developed a consensus that leadership is a flexible developmental process, with each new theory building on, or replacing, that which was derived before it. Main theories that have emerged during the 20th century include: Great Man theory, Trait theory, Style and Behavioral theory, Transactional theory, and Transformational theory. Each theory had its theorist and proponents resulting in both the positive and negative practices of leadership. The theory that has gained the attention of business, military, religious, and academic leaders in the past three decades in Transformational theory. This theory distinguishes itself from the previous theories, on the basis of its alignment to a greater good of leadership development. The rationale for this project was to research the Transformational leadership theory and its role in creating a culture of leadership development at Grand Point Church. This research used a qualitative design wherein the researcher engaged the project participants through interviews, observation, and a survey to describe the phenomenon of transformational leadership in their current context of ministry. This phenomenon was identified and measured using the Multifactor Leadership Questionnaire (MLQ).The result of the research confirmed the distinctives of Transformational leadership as effective in creating a culture of leadership development in order to accomplish the missional objectives of Grand Point Church. This proposal advocates that recovery of ontological truths on the grounds of the interrelationship and interaction of Trinity. Current trends, such as the subordinate-authority-submission and egalitarian debate are critiqued in the light of the ontological reading of Scripture. The recovery of apostolicity as an ontological attribute of Godhead provides significant insight and cohesion to the ontological Trinitarian proposal. The significance of how God produces existentially and ontologically His life within the believer will define humanity in being, through relationship to Godhead. Religious practices both biblical and extra-biblical are examined and considered to better understand the extent of the paradigmatic shift that occurs in the person of Jesus Christ. This proposal develops a fuller understanding of the composition of a human being in the image of God in ontological terms in contrast to the orthodoxy’s dichotomist, trichotomist assertions. The perspective of states in which a human being exists, culminate in the identification of the ‘πνευματικός’ believer as the sole form of legitimate existence that is biblically normalized and warranted. The ontological significance will also redefine church according to the nature and Person of Godhead, thereby widely reforming structures and functions according to ontological truths and practices. This argumentation has reconnected Church to the Trinity ontologically and demonstrated that Church utterly depends upon Trinitarian substance and operation to exist according to divine intentions.Emerging from this exegesis is a model of church: ontological and apostolic, originated, [re]sourced, and incarnate from the nature of Trinity, demonstrating undeniably that it is impossible for the Church of divine intent to exist outside of the three persons of the Godhead, she has no life of her own. Church is this incarnation because her origins, means, and object are of Godhead’s nature, intra-relationship, and operation; whether microcosm or macrocosm, her ontological existence in apostolic Godhead is the defining criterion.
