Formally and informally, intrachangeably and interchangeably, partners relate to reach unreached people groups. Overcoming short-comings and ensuring continuity results in the ingathering. Indeed, the Missio Dei is operating in the church. The author studies the impact of the A.D. 2000 Movement's Adopt-a-People programme and diagnoses the need for unity. She contends that historically, theologically and biblically, the entire church is to be one in mission. Six presentations and small-group seminars were utilized studying biblical, theological, and denominational sources.  The project was evaluated for inreased individual awareness of church mission, group evaluation purpose, and group program planning to support mission.  This report's conclusios indicate that objectives for a large number of participants were not met. In this qualitative study of one particular congregation, the vital relationship between the praxis of evangelism and how we understand Christian identity will be examined.  A brief survey in the Gospel narratives will be offered to observe the role of Jesus' identity in his ministry and evangelistic witness.  A theological review of the modern reductionism of the gospel and the praxis of evangelism in North America will lead toward a renewed biblical framework for each, rooted in the reign of God.
