The popularity of STM has increased to the point where it has become a major trend in missions. This study examines and analyzes the effects of North American STM to Mexico from the perspective of Mexican pastors (emic perspective), providing an avenue for the Mexican pastors to give feedback to the North American STM teams. A series of five meetings will focus on further developing cultural sensitivity, reflecting theologically and biblically on doing cross-cultural mission, and understanding faith enrichment through mission. In multiple, in-depth interviews with 23 mission leaders from 13 different mission agencies this project probes differences between boomer missionaries and the previous generation (limited-time commitment, participatory leadership style, personal development a high priority, family needs determine placement) and examines how these differences have changed the way missions function today.
