Considerable attention is given in the manual to biblical examples of conflict and to cross-cultural factors that influence the way conflict is dealt with in other cultures.  Sources of material included books, articles, and DMN courses on conflict management, inter-cultural negotiations, and cross-cultural management. I also drew from my personal observations as well as those of my associates serving with GMU International. The manual has five major sections.  They are designed for a series of five seminar sessions of two to three hours each. In order to give an effective and successful missionary training to his students, he has been convinced that a short-term missions trip can be employed as an effective tool to meet his objective.  He has been involved in taking a group of his students twice and began to see their lives greatly changed. Curriculum materials from 96 sources were evaluated according to specific criteria.  Two sample courses were taught in a charismatic church and evaluated by student questionnaires before and after the courses.  A five-stage missionary preparation progrm was developed for local churches including 62 hours of training.
