In compliance with that commission, passion and action are the two sides of the coin for Christians. Passion is the heat for evangelism, while action is the light for evangelism. However, though Christians in Hong Kong have passion for evangelism, the church has no significant growth. A 65-question research tool was sent to 100 pastors and church leaders in churches of different sizes and ages. Through the engagement and analysis of a test group a model was developed. The author used Jeremiah 29:7 as an interpretive lens through which to view biblical and Wesleyan sources. He also studied local demographics and three existing one-day events. The author concluded that there is a link between these sources and a contemporary understanding of the relationship between church and community. The author conducted this project at Walden Correctional Institution in Columbia, South Carolina. Walden is a minimum security correctional institution. In undertaking this study the author seeks to understand the impact, effect and affect that recidivism makes in the lives of men who frequently go in-and-out of corrections. Also, he seeks to understand the impact, effect and affect that recidivism has on the inmates' family and community. This project proposes that a man who frequently goes in-and-out of corrections has experienced acute dysfunction and or woundedness through poor parental relationships, poor or no formal education, and poor or no relationship with God. The author uses an action research methodology whereby he is able to invite the inmates to share their autobiographical stories, reframe them with a view toward dramatically altering their lifestyles. It is the hope of the author that the inmates will have genuine and authentic learning experiences which will transform their lives, renew their minds and empower them by faith to get out of corrections and stay out. Questionnaires were sent to over two hundred interested persons.  Study groups took the information and concluded that the greatest needs of the directors of associational missions and their wives relate to isolation.  Support groups were enlisted in four associations.  The design of the support meeting included planned activities to break down barriers, share and prayer time and informal conversation and games. Statistical analysis indicated no change; however, both the pre- and post-test scores of the participant apprentices resembled very closely those of previously successful church planter apprentices. Analysis of the information generated by questionnaires via telephone interviews indicated the orientation produced positive change, both hypothesized and additional. Demonstrating the interrelationship between effective contextual mission, Christ-centered worship, and koinonia/body life, he developed a project that sought to enhance all three functions.  By means of the ministry of the Word, the 'Balligo Church Advance', and the systems models approach to pastoral leadership, the pastor and church became effectively involved in contextual mission. Library research, interviews, and class notes provided the theological basis for this thesis/project.  The project was generally
