Significant findings include the following: 1. Hosting a Celebrate Jesus mission caused pastors to change their perception about their roles in their local churches; 2. Pastors who intentionally set up new systems in their churches to continue mission work experienced the most satisfaction;  and, 3. I want to share salvation of Jesus to those who live in the northwest of China.  The reasons of my focus on the northwest of China are as follows.  First of all, the northwest is the poorest area in China.  Secondly, the people's lives of this area are in a spiritual meaninglessness and seem to be much influenced by Islam.  I expect that Christians can build a Bible training center there as soon as possible.  Hopefully, hundreds, even thousands, of trainees may be molded as missionaries from this center and they can share Jesus' love and grace to others.  This thesis is divided into five chapters. Chapter one is the introduction.  Chapter two emphasizes the strategy of Jesus Christ's ministry in the area of Palestine. Chapter three introduces the northwest region of China including descriptions of geography, resources, populations, and religious condition.  Chapter four presents the evangelism strategy for the northwest area of China. With the rapid growth of Christianity in India there are no other alternatives but to equip the lay people for the work. This study will also define the role of the pioneer workers as trainer. The authors also suggest methods on how to organize training program, including courses and subjects, which need to be taught. The destiny of India lies in the hands of lay people. This mission of God, or missio Dei, is reflected in Jesus' Great Commission for his disciples to go and make other disciples.  The launching of new churches needs to reflect this mandate for evangelism and be an expression of God's own missionary nature.  In this report is a case study of three larger membership Presbyterian churches in Dallas, Texas, whose launches reveal some common markers discovered through historical resources and interviews with the founders.  Larger membership churches have particular gifts for launching larger membership new church developments (NCD's).  This legacy encourages the launch of another larger membership NCD after contemporary adjustments are made to the missiology of these previous styles of NCD. Then, using Percept data an analysis is made that will show how Frisco, Texas, north of Dallas, is a likely place for the next larger membership NCD. Chapter 2 is a statement of the biblical and theological foundation for the local church engaging unreached people groups. Particular attention is given to Acts 13 and Romans 15 as key in understanding this foundation. Chapter 3 is an examination of the current methodological framework of engaging unreached peoples in order to place local church involvement with this task into its wider context. Chapter 4 reports on the actual process of partnership between Sonoraville Baptist Church and the Yi peoples of China, focusing on the concrete processes that must be put into place in the local church. Evangelism, church planting, and theological education are effectively transferring to Filipinos.  But spiritual formation and ministry skills need attention as second generation churches tend to stagnate.  Few missionaries minister to pastors after their formal training.  This research was done primarily through the case study of a local minister's fellowship which the author served as teacher and advisor for several years. Methods: The author conducted a case study of the International Christian Fellowship of Caracas and a survey of forty-two other expatriate ministries in order to evaluate the missionary potential of international churches. Included is a theological and theoretical search for a model of expatriate ministry that can be used in outreach to indigenous peoples that leads to the planting of a national church. During non-tourist season, they are small, quiet hamlets. During tourist season they are crowded, noisy resorts. Churches in these communities are faced with the challenges ministering year round in two totally different cultural contexts. This paper examines the unique dynamics of such, communities, focusing specifically on Ogunquit Maine as a case study.
