First, this dissertation demonstrates God's preparatory activity in general revelation. The first voyagers to Hawaii had a general knowledge of a supreme being. Second, this dissertation demonstrates God's use of historical events to present special revelation to the Hawaiians through the missionaries of the American Board of Commissioners for Foreign Missions. Finally, this dissertation demonstrates the application of research findings toward the writer's present ministry at Puna Baptist Church. These research findings will revitalize Puna Baptist Church's evangelistic strategy. The new evangelistic strategy will utilize the historical fact that the first Hawaiian voyagers had a general knowledge of a later monotheistic supreme being, and this evangelistic strategy will reveal that the religious system was imposed upon the Hawaiians by a foreign entity. It first adopted the strategy of using Western resources to support Chinese evangelists to share the Gospel with their own people. By the 1960s CNEC-PI grew from an evangelistic effort to the Chinese to global mission agency. CNEC-PI as a pioneer in partnership mission explored adaptive strategies and contextualization for about 70 years. This study was conducted based on archival research, interview, and data analysis to provide a historical account of the formation and development of CNEC-PI. The project director researched worldview and its impact on mission strategy. He further researched orality and orality-based mission strategies. He devised an equipping workshop to introduce a group of church members to the concepts of worldview and orality, and to Bible storying as a culturally appropriate orality-based mission strategy for developing house church leaders among the internally displaced people of Colombia. The project utilized several evaluative measures, including an expert-evaluated annotated bibliography, and expert critique of the lesson plans, pre- and post-workshop questionnaires, and a workshop evaluation form. The project director increased his knowledge of worldview and its implications for mission strategy. He also increased his understanding of orality and of Bible storying as a contextually-appropriate orality-based missions methodology. In compliance with that commission, passion and action are the two sides of the coin for Christians. Passion is the heat for evangelism, while action is the light for evangelism. However, though Christians in Hong Kong have passion for evangelism, the church has no significant growth. A 65-question research tool was sent to 100 pastors and church leaders in churches of different sizes and ages. As a resource for an intentional, specialized approach to missionary preparation, a survey of relevant literature, a review of key socio-religious moments in the development of Pentecostalism in Russia, and an examination of theological concerns of the Orthodox context guides the reader toward a clearer understanding of Russian Pentecostals. Calls from the evangelicals of the UMC to return to the missio Dei expressed in scripture, traditions of the church, and Wesleyan tradition, have been met with resistance and often forced leaders to form ministries independent of the GBGM. The loss of missionaries devoted to evangelistic practices is due to this basic theological divide. This project is a series of surveys asking basic theological questions of the staff of the GDGM, its missionaries, and some local church pastors. It concludes that the leadership of the missions arm of the UMC is still theologically liberal or liberationist/radical while the local UM churches are more traditional. I conclude that the loss of missionaries dedicated to church planting and offering Christ to unreached people groups is due to this division. I call for a new denominational mission theology based upon the 'emerging ecumenical paradigm' centered on the local church. He will also work up a model for church development to submit to the China Assemblies of God Council. In this dissertation the writer, through the lens of the developing history of the Pentecostal faith, faces the possibility of the American Assemblies of God pulling out its missionaries from Taiwan and considers that situation in light of the lack of enough Taiwanese ministers. The question to be asked is: what should the China Assemblies of God in Taiwan do to continue their evangelical ministry in the 21st century, this era of booming information? The trend of future ministry development for the churches and organizations which belong to the China Assemblies of God is also discussed. The 'church ministry' of the China Assemvlies of God is the primary aim to writer's reasearch.
