Following the example of Jesus and his disciples, they have also emphasized medical, agricultural, and educational ministries.  One area that has perhaps been neglected has been Christian counsel. This project develops teaching and resource materials to train a small group of Baptist ministers to deal effectively with the issue of polygamy. Japanese view Christianity as a foreign, disjunctive religion.  Just as Japan historically syncretized Buddhism and Confucianism, Japanese experience a cultural conversion to Roman Catholicism that inculturates Japanese religiosity into a specifically Japanese Catholicism.  Overcoming difficulties of syncretizing, or bringing together a new tradition and a distinctly Japanese culture of religiosity, becomes paramount if a Japanese Christian Church is to thrive. They learn least and experience the poorest recall from expositional presentations and other literate styles.  Most literate Gospel presenters use expositional presentation formats when presenting the Gospel among oral communicators. This project employs four years of research and use of Chronological Bible Storying in cross-cultural settings by members of the Southern Baptist Foreign Mission Board.  The project developed and tested a training module during a workshop in England in 1994. Generation to Generation by Edwin Friedman is an important family systems resource for the study.  Instruments produced by XICOM facilitated leadership assessment.  On their genograms the participants indicated family themes, emotions, traumas, triangles, and leadership characteristics over three generations.  The four instruments aided the participants to identify leadership resources in their genograms and family systems. Six members of the congregation organized a five-year program of support for the medical mission, beginning with hypertension screening for 300 persons over a six-month period and supplies of medication for persons diagnosed by the program. The project is theologically grounded in the holistic and ecclesiological nature of the mission of God. The author seeks to further develop his theology of mission and to learn dynamics of CEB formation.  Topics include Mission Preparation, Demographics of Latin America, Theology and History of CEBs, Forming CEB in San Antonio de Las Alazanas Village, Theology of Mission. The author's theology evolved and matured as he established CEBs and support groups that help ongoing mission. The research method is based on questionnaires and on the analysis of all relevant literature.  The mutual incomprehension leads to tensions in interpersonal relationships, which almost collapse the evangelization.  The results of the analysis allow an adjoining and a clarification of misconceptions.  This clearly defines lines of mutual action to be taken.
