The author researched how study of the missional ecosystem helped to move a congregation beyond a limited benevolence outreach to an effective ministry with special focus on ministry to the adolescent. This missional conversation is framed within the larger missio-ecclesiological theology. God's mission to the world can only be understood through the incarnate Word of God. Incarnation is presented as the model for fulfilling God's purpose in the world. They are the Trinity, the purpose of God (missio Dei), the body of Christ, the gifts of the Spirit, and the church -- both local and universal. A survey was used to have attendees of the CAR Consultation reflect on these theological issues in the context of partnership. Worship is one aspect of congregational life where the values of Western secular culture are deeply embedded; changing the expectations surrounding worship may be pivotal for the deeper transformation of congregational culture from an inward, institution-maintaining focus to an outward, missional orientation. This project is a case study of one congregation where such transformation is already underway. The idea of a 'self-theologizing' church is biblically grounded, yet it is still an unfamiliar practice for evangelicals. This project involved restructuring an undergraduate mission theology course to familiarize students with the need for theological contextualization, to give the experience in facilitating a 'hermeneutical community,' and to guide them in devising a personal theology of mission. Written and oral surveys, participant observation, and analysis of student work indicated partial achievement of course goals."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Trinity Evangelical Divinity School"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["c654e922-76d0-4427-ac29-e286b7997781"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["public","work_editor"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1799719308841975808,"timestamp":"2024-05-22T02:48:01.583Z","score":1.0}],"facets":[{"name":"resource_type_sim","items":[{"value":"Unknown","hits":96,"label":"Unknown"},{"value":"D.Min.
