Systematic precautions against suicide in Korea, however, are insufficient compared to other developed countries. In the Korean military, suicide is the number one cause of death, and personal and family wounds caused by suicide are a major and difficult problem. The author researched suicide prevention education for chaplain assistants so that it could be more effective. Many topics were discussed, including what chaplain assistants can strive for in terms of suicide prevention for soldiers who are living together with them in the army. Discrimination against and maltreatment of Southeastern migrant workers in Korea have been serious social problems. This project researched the essential characteristics of the spirit of hospitality in the Bible through examining the Israelite as the 'ger,' the hospitality of Abraham and the maltreatment of Sodom, the hospitality of Jesus, and the hospitality of Paul.
