This thesis/project explores how pastors can help congregation members link their stories to the Biblical narrative so that they can deal more effectively with these issues. Using an ethnographic research method, interviews with twenty older adults were used as the foundation for refining the integration of grief and loss to the Biblical narrative. Narrative Celebrative Preaching helps congregations live from memory to hope on their journey of transformation.  NCP embraces and brings to light members' stories within the community through communal interviews recorded on a Whiteboard. Corporate recording of common stories and significant events reshapes a congregation's history.
