Spiritual disciplines as well as current information and thought about the 'baby-boomer' generation were taught to a selected team of senior adults over a twelve-week period. These issues include 'five D's' of deterioration, dependency, deprivation, detachment and death.  Spiritual profile assessment responses of forty-four elderly are analyzed as well as profiles given from an in-depth questionnaire by fifteen of these persons.  Psychological theory concepts from Jung's individuation and Wesleyan spiritual maturity processes and included. It reviewed the aging process, the spiritual needs of the elderly, and the impact of addressing the spiritual needs of the elderly.  A design for a continuing education workshop for nursing home administrators was developed, tested, and evaluated.
