Theological anthropology helps deconstruct the author's personal experience in Part One. Max Weber's theory of ideal types continues  the author's systematic arguments for placing social location as a primary consideration in pastoral ministry in Part II. The purpose of this research is to validate this assumption. A medium/small Chinese Christian Church in North America was chosen to conduct this research. Besides these two tools, one on one interviews were also conducted with some key leaders of that church. The project explores current grieving practices on the reservation, Lakota cultural resources that facilitate good grieving, and the ways that Lakota people become enmeshed in their grieving. Traumatic deaths, conflicted grieving, and multiple loss complicate Lakota grieving. Discovery of the paschal mystery within the life experience of 63 families and individual members of Saint John's Roman Catholic Church in Jordan, Minnesota, leads the author to suggest a theology of incarnation to support parish community, worship, service, and teaching.  Through this study the project promotes a deeper appreciation and participation in the sacraments as a way to further the mission of Saint John's
