I approached the 1 Corinthians from the perspective of balance. I accomplished this based on my own experiences of healing prayer and counseling and the research I did. The resource was then evaluated by a panel of ten experienced healing experts to determine how well the resource met its stated nine goals. The leadership training was formatted as a small group experience so that participants with no prior involvement in a small group both learned leadership skills and grew in appreciation of small group dynamics. The project augmented the author's seminar Discover Your Ministry ID. The ministry of the whole people of God according to their God-given design, ministry role, and purpose was explored, along with examining Christian volunteer culture. Implementation included data-gathering, training workshops, and an appreciation banquet for volunteers. He asserts that new pastors are not supported in their first calls. He gathers information from a sample group of new pastors and identifies several key areas in which pastors feel underprepared or have anxiety as they begin their first calls. Using a qualitative research method the author spent time with over 25 pastors discovering their fears and where they find their support in ministry. My hypothesis was that faith in God makes a difference in one's ability to be resilient, to spring back from adversity. I explored resiliency variables including childhood experiences, role models, personality traits, and different understandings of God. The diverse research identified numerous resiliency elements that were helpful to some and not to others. Consequently, each person had personal and unique resources for resiliency. My analysis resulted in the recognition of the importance of caring relationships.
