It is my intent through this program, Pet \u0026 Pray: The Transforming Power of Communion and Grace Through God's Beloved Creatures, by way of surveys, group social gatherings, prayer, sharing, instruction, catechesis, social science data, and theological reflection to bring about in each participant a measurably deeper awareness of God's grace present and working inter-connectedly through his creatures. The author explores ways in which a viable mainline church ministry could be developed to serve the human-animal bond.  A case study of the author's personal story in ministering to people and companion animals, and doing so within an ecclesiastical structure, serves as the method of research.
