Two specific methodologies were used for research.  The first was a questionnaire which was completed by members of the congregation.  The second was a series of small-group discussions which allowed church members to share concerns and discuss long-range ideas.  The study caused the church congregation to consider their biblical and theological mandates for mission. Chapter 2 establishes a theological foundation. Chapters 3 and 4 record the progress of the project from implementation to completion. The method of investigation included a theological study of the process and the obtaining of data from pastors and church committees through questionnaires and interviews.  The result of the study indicate that plannaging is suitable for use in a church, is helpful for administration, and that pastors lack confidence in the use of plannaging following training.
