Using the pro-active research model the goal was to transform the participant's attitudes and actions with the poor. The conclusion is that it is easier to change thought than actions. Research consisted of a critical analysis of current candidate interviews, documents used to prepare interviews, and three existing immersion models. The author developed a new component proposing poverty-specific interview questions and rural, urban and local context immersions during the probationary period. If so, is it within the purview of the church to deliver or facilitate the availability and affordability of health care and coverage?' The study determined the viability of a clinic and the degree to which the church assists working people unable to afford health benefits and care. It is concluded that churches have a leadership role in meeting the needs of the least and last.
