College students completed a survey instrument that demonstrated many anti-Christian hostilities. As a result of that survey, a curriculum was developed to be used among college-bound mid-adolescents to equip them with the necessary tools to defend and stand firm in their Christian faith. Alongside the curriculum, the survey instrument also indicated the need and value for an active mentoring ministry to be employed amongst the church's mid-adolescents. This project is an exploration of the assertion that parents and church leaders should guide their children in order to lay foundations for faith.  As a practical application of this assertion the author provides a curriculum for postmodern families to access as an at-home worship and Bible study experience.  The paper includes a theology for the family, an exploration of the church's role in spiritual formation, and the literature review. The author offered some Trinitarian teaching aimed at demonstrating that while congregations have their distinctive features they are to reflect something of the communion within the Trinity (perichoresis). A questionnaire on worship and ministry was conducted, some theological reflection encouraged and an evaluation undertaken. However, the author discovered that switching to a method geared to predominantly postmodern hearers can leave more traditional hearers feeling 'left behind.' Over the sermons in this project he explored postmodern preaching methods, but also checked in with more traditional hearers. Data was gathered by survey and interviews in a group setting. For small churches, there are ways that we can preach to new generations so that none are 'lost' or 'left behind.' This thesis discusses variety in preaching styles as a way to be inclusive for all those worshiping in smaller congregations.
