The thesis was that people can be taught and trained how to pray and as a result experience growth in Christ.  The methodology focused first on the pastor: his study of prayer, practice of prayer, recruiting, teaching, and training prayer group leaders. He scripted prayer concerts and reflected on them.  He also gave inventories to the participants.
