a strategy whereby Christians would access the power of prayer and fasting.  From the time the first Christian church was established in Thailand to the present day, there has been little growth.  Most churches in Thailand remain weak and ineffective.  Some North American churches and the South Korean churches of the second half of the twentieth century have both prayed and fasted for their countries as a regular practice, resulting in an increased number of believers. The interpretative work of DeVaux, Boadt, Clines, and Brueggemann were threaded together using the metaphor of a wedding.  A new inclusive pronoun for God (HH-it) was introduced. This theology of petitionary prayer is then applied to the ministry of preaching, using Paul's letters to Timothy as foundational teaching concerning the will of God in relation to preaching. The goal was to teach children how to pray using sacred dance.  The program was theologically built upon the work of Elizabeth Johnson and Sallie McFague.  It incorporated songs and scriptures containing inclusive language and images of God that were feminine, and of nature. A sample 120 members of Murray Hill participated in a host of prayer initiatives to deepen the life of prayer within the ongoing life of the church.  Metanoia then examined fifteen heart attitudes that grow out of the life of prayer as related to church health.
