This project consisted of developing six lessons on prayer principles that would help train church members to grow in praying through growth barriers. Surveys were taken, classes were held and follow-up steps were implemented to pray through growth barriers. Contemplative prayer will bring a path to wholeness and heal the true self so that greater peace and charity in daily life can be enjoyed.  I taught ten weeks of a contemplative prayer seminar in spring and fall, 2005.  I interviewed and surveyed participants how contemplative prayer could affect their daily life. The techniques which were taught were drawn from various monastic traditions and Christian mystics from throughout the ages.  They were presented over the course of eight weeks of study.  In addition to learning various styles of contemplative prayer the participants were asked to employ them for at least 15 minutes a day, five days a week, for each of the eight weeks. The analysis used to determine project impact was obtained from the post and delayed tests responses of the participants.  Results indicated that all nine participants had beneficial experiences.
